Ænth (collaboration between Erin Sexton and Alexander Wilson) delves into various social tropes (science-fiction, fantasy, new-age) as well as scientific research (contemporary physics and cosmology) to question the relations between mind, body, nature and technology, specifically interrogating the place of individual and collective experience in our rapidly evolving human paradigm. By combining and framing our improvisational music practices within an evocatively designed media installation that features different kinds of sensors, interfaces and controls allowing us to interact performatively with light, sound and video, we explore various possible reorganizations of the human-nature-technology ecosystem. The work is meant to be playful yet thought provoking.
